Ruben Segrodnik was born in 1986 in the city of Düsseldorf. After obtaining his university entrance qualification in 2006, he began an apprenticeship in office administration at Leih Es! e. K., where he was subsequently employed as an order processor and event manager.
At the family-run event hire company, he acquired basic skills in accounting, human resource planning, purchasing, order processing, event management and event logistics. After the company’s transformation into a GmbH, Ruben took on the role of managing director at Leih Es! GmbH and remained there until the end of 2015.
In 2017, he began studying nutrition sciences at the Hochschule Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Mönchengladbach, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2021. Alongside his studies, Ruben started working in 2018 as a student assistant in various areas of the Faculty of Food, Nutrition and Hospitality Sciences (including applied chemistry, biochemistry and computerised laboratory). After completing his degree, he worked as a biochemistry scientific assistant at the Faculty of Food, Nutrition and Hospitality Sciences of Hochschule Niederrhein.
In February 2022, Ruben joined innotaste GmbH as a Purchasing Manager.
